About Mister Mojo

Mister Mojo (Morien Jones) is an award-winning children's musician and performer based in Victoria, Canada. With over 14 years dedicated to creating and performing original music for young audiences, his engaging songs have captivated families worldwide—from Nova Scotia to New Zealand, Scotland to San Francisco. Known for his lively performances, Mister Mojo encourages both kids and adults to sing and dance along, creating memorable musical experiences.

Musical Journey

Inspired by his three children, Morien began crafting playful songs like "Seneca the Squirrel" and "Jump on the Bed." In 2011, his song "Dirty Old Bear" secured third place in Bear Aware BC's songwriting contest, leading to a 2012 grant from the Columbia Basin Trust to produce his debut children's album, Mister Mojo.

Since then, Mister Mojo has performed at various venues across Western Canada, including:

Festivals: Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival (2014)

Library Tours: Kootenay Library Federation's Summer Reading Club (12-city tour), Saskatoon and northern Saskatchewan libraries (2016), Calgary and Regina Summer Reading Clubs (2017)

Community Events: Regular performances for the Cities of Victoria, Langford, and the District of Saanich
